Morning Pages - Time Blocking

 
My Gratitude Journal and Planner

This morning I woke up late at 6:40, but I still had enough time to do everything I normally do. Plus some. I got a member their LipSense colors ready for today’s lunch, plus extra colors for her to sample. This time I didn’t forget to bring testers – cups, applicators, swabs, remover. I also brought Climate Control, Normal to Dry, Perfume for her to try and extra Glossy strips for her.

After I did all that I decided to let loose a little jolt of energy and after got really sidetracked. Although I got a lot of stuff done, I was jumping from one thing to another. I couldn’t stick to one thing for more than about 5 minute and I’d jump to something else.

I also spent a lot of time with my planner this morning.

What helped bring some sort of balance was that I had daily morning tasks (with the exception of Wednesday, Garbage Day) I needed to do plus some today. Here’s a list:

Morning Tasks

As per usual:

  • Get ready

  • Doggy Duties

    • Let them out

    • Water & food

    • Clean up mess if necessary -___-

      • NOTE: Today was one of them so they didn’t get any treat and got locked out of the room for the rest of the morning.

  • Open the blind for lily plant

  • 5 Gratitude’s for the morning

  • Water plants

New TasK:

  • Members SeneStuff

  • Played with my planner

    • Organized

    • Wrote down in my Idea Bucket

  • Morning Podcast

    • Idea! Maybe have talks with people in the AM and that can be your talk!

      • Eat to Live (sister)

So I essentially I got two new things done today…not huge tasks in the AM, but for some reason it felt like it. Probably also because I woke up at 6:40 as I used to be fore I was trying to wake up early and got more than just the usual morning tasks done at home.

This made me realize I need to structure out my day in Time Blocks. Like I’m really understanding Time Blocking now. If you want something done, you need to Time Block. Which is probably why I loved my passion planner because the time blocking.

My Schedule:

  • 6:00 Daily Morning Tasks

  • 7:00 Gratitude Journal & Morning Pages

  • 7:30 Morning Drive Podcast

  • 8:00 Work

  • 10:00 Misc stuff

    • Upload photos and extra visual content to Morning Pages Blog

  • 10:15 Back to work

  • 12:00 Lunch – Edit - Branding

  • 12:30 Last leg of work

  • 4:00 Done with the Corporate world

  • 4:30 Afternoon daily Tasks

    • Vacuum

    • Put away dishes

    • Sweep

    • Tidy up

    • Adventure with the boys

  • 5:00 Work on Branding

    • Share Blog

  • 6:00 Ryan gets home

    • Think about dinner

  • 7:00 Cook & Eat Dinner

  • 8:00 Straight family time & Relax
